Dr Chris Ahn is a Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

After completing his medical degree in New Zealand, Dr. Ahn continued his path to training in plastic surgery in Sydney and had completed over 10 years of training in both plastic surgery and general surgery before being awarded the Morgan Travelling Fellow's scholarship to complete a further 2 years of training overseas - gaining further subspecialty experience under the guidance of world renowned plastic surgeons as part of his dual international fellowship with the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada and Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea.

Through completion of two post-graduate fellowships at these leading centers, Dr. Ahn has developed extensive experience in reconstruction of cancer resection cases, with particular interest in breast reconstruction and microsurgical reconstruction of complex wounds.

Dr. Ahn's other specialty fields of interest include cosmetic breast enhancement, facial plastic surgery and Asian cosmetic surgery - an enthusiasm that stems from his Korean roots and the development of South Korea as a Hub for the newest advances in cosmetic plastic surgery. As one of the first Korean plastic surgeons trained in Australasia, Dr. Ahn took opportunity from his time in Korea to learn from leading plastic surgeons specialising in cutting edge surgical techniques for cosmetic procedures of the face and breast.

Outside of the operating theatre, Dr. Ahn maintains a keen interest in post graduate education and research. He holds admitting positions at a number of university affiliated hospitals in Sydney and is actively involved in the training of plastic surgery trainees at Liverpool hospital and Northern Beaches Hospital. He is regularly involved in teaching of upcoming plastic surgeons and participates in ongoing self-education activities and research in his fields of interest.
